It works! Attack the zone early in counts and umps give you the benefit of the doubt later on the AB. 2 of the first 3 pitches should be strikes.

Terrific article from the Driveline guys on pitch selection and sequences. Data driven piece gives coaches/catchers a great staring point for experimentation

One addition: if your fastball or changeup is outstanding, use em for Strikeouts too. Pitch up with the fastball and down with the curveball in 2k counts
